Ypsilanti, MI- After playing a national schedule and having a spring to remember one thing is Clear, Next Level is talented and loaded with the some of the top guards in the Nation. Aziza May (South Euclid Brush), Taylor Kline (Villa Angela St. Joes), Lenay Sims (East Cleveland Shaw), Amanda Turner (Wooster), Rachel Theroit (Walsh Jesuit), Katie Collins (Chardon), Abril Mills (Brookside), Sarah Ruprecht (Midpark), Chryce Lockhart (Clevlenad Central Catholic), Tayelor McCalister (Akron Firestone), Shaia Horton (Firestone), Kerri Holdash (Trinity), Alise Sailor (Perry), Jordan Peck (Richmond Hts), Natasha Watkins (South Euclid Brush) These young ladies have distinguished themselves during the spring and are looking to make a name for themselves in the winter.
Meet the Guards Aziza May- After going toe to toe, dribble for dribble with the Ohio State Commit from the Michigan Crossover. Aziza May left no doubt for anyone watching that she is laying claim to the best small point guard in Ohio. While she shares the city with a small guard from Regina, many are starting to question who really is the best point guard in South Euclid. May is polished and quick, her offensive skills are second to none, and she can get either lock you down and bust a jumper in your face, you make the choice Taylor Kline- The other half of a dynamic duo for the Next Level Red team. Kline is ultra quick, and a defensive nightmare for opposing teams. She is poised for her age, and if you don't know her now you will shortly. Lenay Simms- Lenay can simply score, at will and in bunches. With a much improved jump shot and a silky smooth hesitatio mvoe, Simes is hard to stop and few have been able to do it this year. Amanda Turner- When she gets it going there are few long range kids who can dial it up like she can Amanda is quiet off the court, but she leaves a lasting memory on the court. Don't leave her alone because she can pu the dagger is a team trying to hand on for dear life. Rachel Theriot- Rachel might be the best all around point in the mix. What she lacks in pure footspeed she more than makes up for in knowledge of the game. Rachel has a feel and instinct of a player twice her age, and the ability to translate that into points for her teammates. What many don't know is that she can absolutely drill it from long range, for her the three point line seems like the layup line. Ms. Twinsbufg might be the biggest fromeshman, but Theriot is clearly the most skilled of the two- just ask the hordes of people watching the game!! Katie Collins- Ms. Hustle. Katie is a demon when she takes the floor, and she is hard to stop. She gets on the floor one minute and is leading the break the next. When Katie gets into a rythm, she can score on anyone and I mean anyone, just ask those in attendance as she sizzeled the nets during the Adidas Southern Premier. Sarah Ruprecht- Sarah is another of those hardworking kids that puts in the time when no-one else is there. This girls acn bench 125 squat half hte rack and get in your face on the court. Chyrce Lockhart- Another in a long line of Next Level Guards that is quick agile and can put up BIG NUMBERS whenever she wants to. Chryce has an amazing first step and a lightening quick cross over to go along with a text book jump shot, take your poisen because she can deliver. Tayelor McCalister- Short, quick, agile, mobile and a bull when it comes to getting to the rack. While just a freshman, she is another in a long line of fantastic akron guards, Tayelor can take over a game and gets out on the break faster than anyone you ahve ever seen. She is a freight train coming, so if your smart just step out of the way. Shaia Horton- Another freshman making a name for herself. Shaia is confident and agressive and whiel on the court simply has no fear. Shia has a knack for knocking down the long range shot, but she is also one of those hardworking guards who dominates the glass. Kerri Holdash- short but sweet and steady. She is a throwback to the good oldfashioned guards who could run the show and get the job done. Jordan Peck- This child simply has no range, she can dial it up from anywhere, and I mean anywhere, when she is in her range she makes it RAIN threes, she has cought more than one team standing there wondering what she was about to do as she locked and loaded from beyond the 25 foot service line. Elise Sailor- This Perry native is heady, smart and can shoot. Natasha Watkins- This swing guard is simply a FREAK OF NATURE- she is super athletic and her antics on the court are simply beyond description. She is the best small forward in the state, and is is a league of her own when it comes to others who play her position in Cleveland. Don't believe the hype simply come see for yourself!
